I’m Lisa Apperly, and in my more-limber youth I studied cave paleontology. Now, I’m a development manager for standardized assessment projects. I have over a decade of experience with all aspects of statewide assessment projects, from writing items to setting achievement standards.

As an instructional designer, I believe that quality designs begin with the end in mind. I support accessible and equitable approaches to delivering training that centers learners’ needs and motivations. I bring the same curiosity and engagement to solving instructional design problems as I brought to years of geoscience fieldwork.
